Last summer’s leaf rewinds time
New buds fast forward it to spring
But linger not in either place
Embrace today
This moment will not come again.

Yup! And I will accept that invitation to check back in the spring! 🙂 Thank you.

We’ll see you then. 🙂 Of course, spring in Alberta comes on its own schedule and seldom the same from one year to the next. On the sunny side of the house it may arrive in late April, while north-facing parts are still deep in snow. The poplars may not leaf out until May. A quirky country to say the least. It certainly keeps life interesting.

Figuratively speaking–the photo and caption hinted at the promise of spring. 🙂

Figuratively, yes, a hint of spring. Literally, well, that’s another matter altogether as spring dances in and out for weeks on end, tempting, teasing and downright confusing plants, animals and humans alike. 🙂
